Week 4 - Portraits

This week we looked at portraits and what we can show through the lens width as well as the information given through the background. These are the images I took, the first three display the use of the lens. As you can see the differences between the images are dramatic, with a zoom and different distances we are able to show different aspects of the background and establish different tones.   

These are some more portraits I took that look at the subject in relation the the snowy background. I looked at the gaze also and in some of the images the subjects close their eyes, showing a serenity and peace. 

I enjoyed exploring portraits, but I feel this topic did not spark my interest as much as the look into the small country life last week. I feel I would enjoy exploring more landscapes and perhaps the idea of nature again.
